everyone in my high school sang the song this way. it was the largest drug song in 1976 despite not having anything to do with drugs. If you tried to talk to someone about the song and what it meant they would counter, "NO man, you shouldn't fear reefer. i didn't like a pro-suicide song so i gave it up what can i say it was the 70s.
