When people would say that there weren't any songs about Hanukkah or for Jewish audiences, I always said, "Sure there are! There's that song on the oldies station that sings "Oh, Adonai!" People never knew which song I was referring to, so it wasn't until I was maybe 14 or 15 that it came on the radio, and I was singing along, and my father burst out laughing when he heard me.
