    The story:

    Googling for the lyrics, and being *sure* that my version was correct, and then finding out it had zero Google hits. Hmmmm.... something is wrong here.

    'Caught in a trap' is silly, and it does not rhyme. My version rhymes, and makes sense. The singer is not in a 'trap', to her music is her chosen way of life. But she is caught in a (her) 'track', namely the song (track) she is singing. The song catches her as she is catching the song. A nice invention - until I found out that Niles & Rodgers (of 'Chic' fame) never invented it this way!
