    The story:

    I was 10 the year of Woodstock. My brother, eight years' older,
    played Woodstock fare constantly on his stereo. I didn't think
    much of it at the time, but dozens of songs were implanted in
    my memory. Come 1984, Walter Mondale used "Teach Your
    Children" in a presidential campaign commercial. In front of
    many hipper college friends, I questioned the choice of songs
    and explained why the lyrics were weak for a campaign ad.
    There were belly laughs in abundunce when I recited "Must have
    a cold."
