Actually it was an acquaintance in high school who was a true RHCP fan who corrected me. It was in front of about 6 people who already thought I was a dork, and didn't need the extra proof. I think that was the only line in the whole song I thought I knew, along with "Bob Marley walkin' like a dog now" and "goodness me can't you see I'm gonna cough up"
