The story:

While singing out loud in the car, my daughter who was 13 looked
at me and asked what I thought the words were. I explained that if
you were "the s**t" that meant you were cool or skilled. So this guy
thought he was twice as cool as everyone else. She laughed
hysterically and patiently corrected me and my wife (I had
convinced my wife I was right earlier) as to the actual lyrics.
