The story:

I was in my car with girlfriend singing along to the song, when she asked me, "what did you just say?"
I repeated it and she couldn't stop laughing at me. After she finished laughing she told me the real lyrics. I disagreed with her for a minute or two and then finally relented that mine didn't make much sense.
