My sister and I were writing down words to all our favorite songs with some neighborhood kids... for some reason. Among the kids was a slightly older boy I had a crush on. We both were singing the mistaken line, having figured it out, we thought, after many times hearing it. The boy in question laughed about as hard as anyone I've ever seen and basically shunned me for years afterward.
