The story:

I figured it out fairly early, but tens of thousands of Cold
Chisel fans still get it wrong. In Australia this song is an
anthem, yet still the fans sing the wrong words - or
words ie. how can you catch a train from Sydney to
Hong Kong?. Jimmy Barnes ( lead singer) once told
me, "Ive been out front of ten thousand fans singing
along and I just want to stop the song and say, Hey its
been twenty f**kin' years ... for christ's sake its the "last
plane", not the "last train." Personally I blame Hank
Williams and Boyce & Hart's "Last Train to Clarkesville"
