Who is the real Horace? It sounded like maybe he was the girl's ex-boyfriend, but why would he be the REAL Horace? Was there a fake Horace?
I puzzled and puzzled over that line. It sounded somewhat plausible, but I knew it couldn't be right. I just couldn't figure out the real lyric to substitute there.
On the other hand, I was convinced that Santana was singing about the girl's "stainless steel" motion. After all, I had heard of people with movements like steel - cold and calculating. I thought Santana creatively used stainless steel to describe the girl's cold, but somewhat kinder moves.
My husband almost laughed me out of the car when I told him what I thought the song was saying.
