My mom is a huge fan of Elton John's music, and I have known his songs my whole life. Humiliatingly, until the age of twelve (when I began playing Elton's music on the piano) I believed the words in the chorus were "Ah hooka du mah..." I made the shocking, and painful, discovery that the words were actually "I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind." Yes. I was TWELVE.
