I work in a retail store and this song was playing on our Muzak. I turned to a co-worker and said, "This song reminds me of snaky electronics salesmen." She gave me a quizzical look and asked why. When I told her what I understood the lyrics to be, she set me straight. She couldn't stop laughing either, which was really embarassing.
