I was sitting in a bar, with my not-so-sober friends, and it came on the house music. I couldn't catch myself in time -- it just came out of my mouth. In my defense, while my friends knew MY version was ABSOULTELY wrong, not one of 12 could come up with a more plausible interpretation of the verbal mud that is that particular line.
Everyone of them sings it that way now, just to get a rise out of the dumb brunette...
