Carribean Queen, now we'll shimmy up that tree

The story:

At a party at college, the gang and I decided we'd belt out our favorite songs as they played on a local station. When it came to the Ocean tune, that was the version of the chorus I sang, figuring it was right, or at least pretty close. As they all laughed me out of the place, I tried my best to defend my interpretation, saying, "(Expletive), in the Carribean they're into all that jungle love (expletive)." That, sadly, just seemed to make them laugh even more.
