I always knew those couldn't possibly be the right lyrics but every time I listened to the song I swear it sounded just like 'jackaroo day-glo' and let's face it...the Beatles did a lot of mind altering chemicals to enhance their songwriting skills. For all I knew, A jackaroo day-glo was code for being high, or first cousin to the walrus. Finally, I decided to look up the words and find out what was actually being sung. That didn't help me a bit. I have no idea what 'jai guru deva' means.
