I spit mints into my stereo.

The story:

My brother, who is ten years older, always sang in that way. I was away at a "Semester in England" program and started singing this in the local pub. I was told by the barman that I was "cut off" for the evening and I wasn't even drinking! For the rest of the semester, various British brands of mints mysteriously appeared on my radio, as I did not have a stereo over there. My brother STILL sings it that way, although he apparently knew the correct lyrics all along.
