The story:

My teenage daughter has always been annoyed at me liking (and singing along to) her favorite music. One time we were in the car listening to this song. I sang the lyrics how I believed them to be and she burst out laughing at me! I was pretty embarassed and decided to stop making a fool of myself. She finally got the peace she wanted all along, and said she's glad I'm no longer "trying to be young"! LOL!
