The story:

I was seven years old, and not terribly familiar
with rock terminology. So when Paul Stanley
informed me (I thought) that he had rocked his
socks until they were green in color, I didn't
question it -- I just thought, whoa, that's
serious rocking. Didn't work it out until years
later.
