The story:

I thought that cause Elton's high pitched falsetto was a little distorted. I thought he was talking about a girl named Bennie who committed a major homicide on the New York Mets, cause they suck! Anyway the day realized it was in school at lunch, and they were playing Elton John on the radio (they have a radio in the ceiling) and I was just lip-syncing to the song while I was eating my lunch. Then came the end part, when I sang out loud "Bennie! Bennie! Bennie! Bennie Killed The Mets!" and somebody at the next table said to me, "It's Bennie and The Jets! Have you heard the rest of the song?" The fact is, I have a 25% hearing loss in my right ear and that's where one of the speakers was positioned in the ceiling.
