The story:

I was about 8 when I attempted to sing along with this song in the car, and was so happy belting out what I sincerely thought was the chorus. There was, like, 3 seconds of awkward silence, and then my older sister exploded with laughter! Meanwhile, my mom -- desperately trying to hold back her laughter -- calmly explained the actual lyrics to me. My response to this was "But that doesn't make any sense at all!" Then my mom busted out laughing.
