I was horrified the first time I heard this song at the age of eleven, and demanded that it be turned off; my friends assured me that the real lyric was "ASK your parents", but it looks like they were wrong too (I finally looked it up on the web).

Wow, a misheard lyric of Weird Al's "Smells Like Nirvana". A parody based on the fact that the original song's lyrics were hard to understand. That is pretty "meta". One guy at this camp for the blind I attended misheard Al's name as "Rude Al" years before and stood by it. He'd be on to something if he thought these were the lyrics.
