The story:

I never completely understood what Paul McCartney
was singing here. I always thought that part of it
was "in which we live in" for sure. But it was the
last part that baffled me. Then one day I was
comparing the McCartney version to a cover by Guns
'n Roses, and I asked my friend what I was hearing,
and when he suggested "makes you give in and cry",
it all made much more sense to me. Anyway, I like
"in which we live in" better than "in which we're
living" for sure, at least.
