The story:

My best friend (Lexus) and I were listening to a bunch of
mid-2000s pop music one day, and obviously we couldn't
ignore Fergie.

When this line came up, she laughed and said "did she just
say 'when you touch my sleeve'?". She played it again, and I
clearly heard Steve. I found it odd that she would specify
exactly who the song was addressed to, since love songs
rarely do that.

And while I knew the next line, Lexus thought it was "oh
your fly's so crazy", like Fergie was looking at the fly of
the dude's (possibly Steve's?) pants.

We immediately looked up the actual lyrics and laughed our
@sses off.
