Junior High Basketball. Sitting in the van with my teammates waiting for the coach to come to drive to an out of town game. This came on the radio and I sang my version. I don't know why I thought that was the lyric. I didn't really think that John Mellencamp had had a sex change or anything, but my teammates teased me about it for most of the trip.
