The story:

My husband and I were driving in the car when the song came on, and we both started singing. Suddenly, he started to laugh at me and told me I was singing the wrong lyrics. He insisted he was right, and I, of course, insisted that I was right. I told him how it didn't make sense, that "it would be much more interesting to check it out if the funk is your brother...what kind of loser is the funk soul brother?" We're both teachers, and then we asked our middle school students--apparently, they think it's the funk soul brother, too. Whatever.
