The story:

As a very (very) small child I thought that this bit was actually being sung from the perspective of the gun, and I thought this was pretty cool. I was very proud I knew the words. But then I sang it very loudly in front of my parents, who said something along the lines of, "What the hell version of that song are you singing, small human?"
