I was singing this lovingly to a boyfriend in the car when he burst out laughing and continued to laugh for ten minutes while he explained that the song had nothing to do with elves. I had always thought it was a little strange but you know it's Elton.
What's even more embarrassing is that I realized that I still had the lyrics wrong when I looked the real lyrics up to make sure they were correct for this site. The elf version is funnier though.
