i think i was singing it and a hardcore beatles fan yelled at me and told me that made absolutely no sense at all.
i agreed, and told her i'd wondered for a long time why the song would ask why he'd care about being lonely.
it's especially embarassing because of how much i love the beatles...like, i have 3 posters, an old school lunch pail, 3 shirts...etc. i grew up on the beatles, but apparently i grew up hearing the wrong words.
