I was watching TV on Christmas Eve as they played Christmas Carols, which had subtitles so you sing along to the Hymns/Carols. I felt like an absolute idiot when I read the correct lyrics on the screen. I told my mother my findings and she couldn't stop laughing.
I still sing my version at Christmas time :)
