Dirty Deeds and the Thunder Chief

The story:

I was riding in the backseat of my friend's car and he turned up this song and started to sing along. It was one of his favorites. I tried to keep up with him, but being only vaguely familiar with the song sang out the offending lyrics. When he heard me he turned off the music, turned around and just stared at me, and made me tell him what I had just said. He told me it was wrong, and I tried to play it off like I was joking. He saw through me. I guess I really like the word "thunder" because this isn't the only time I completely got something wrong thinking the lyrics had something to do with the word "thunder"!!
I thought the song was about a couple of bad dudes named Dirty Deeds and The Thunder Chief.
