I thought these were the lyrics for years! Any time I had been walking around barefoot before bedtime, especially in the summer, I would check to see if I had "dirty feet." Just the way AC/DC said the "oooh!" sounded like having dirty feet under your sheets was totally and completely repulsive!!!
I recently revisited my mistaken lyrics just this past Spring, when in a hotel room with my husband - the carpeting in our room was filthy, and when we went to get into bed, I found that the soles of our feet were black. I started singing these lyrics, and insisted that we wash up in the bathroom!
We snickered about the song for a long time before actually falling asleep that night.
