It's more embarrassing to admit that I never actually heard all those clothing-related lyrics at the start of the song that would have made the hook line obvious; I'm a 50 year-old mom who rocked to that song when it was first released, but it took my two teen sons to set me straight on the lyrics.

No - what's really funny is that I sang it that way for almost 30 years! And my teenage kids had to set me straight! But we didn't have access to the lyrics like they do today...
