The story:

I was singing along loudly to the oldies station during a Saturday morning house-cleaning with my mom - she burst into hysterical laughter when this song came on. I demanded to know what exactly a "go-go" was and why I would want to go there, if that's what the words really were, but did not receive a satisfactory answer. I therefore continue to believe that my version is superior.
