I saw someone quoting the lyrics on a forum, and I thought "my Juan" sounded so lame. But just to be sure, I did a search for the actual lyrics, and sure enough, he was right and I was wrong.

I heard this particular line as "Farewell to my one", which I had no quibbles about, but in a later line I heard "Hey Susie, Maria" and I did wonder why the obviously non-Spanish Susie was making her appearance.
