The story:

My friends and I grew up rollerskating every Friday night, and
this was a favorite couples' song.

I didn't know who Al Sparks was, or for that matter, what a
"polygag" was or what either had to do with a total eclipse of
the heart.

While playing "Songburst" with these same friends some 15
years later, I very confidently sang out the lyrics. Through
their hysterical and rather drunken tears, they mocked me
and read the correct lyrics.

I still get asked how Al Sparks is doing and if I'm still living in
the polygag.
