Literally, I just realized that these lyrics were wrong about a month ago. The song randomly came on the radio one day, and of course I had to sing louder than everyone else in the car. So, when this part came up everyone stopped singing for a second, then proceeded to laugh at me.
I mean, the lyrics make sense in the context of the song, and it is Macy Gray, so I never really questioned it...
