It was just now, while browsing this site. I was SO sure those were the lyrics. I've been singing them that way since I first heard the song. Does anyone understand what he's saying anyway?

I heard it that way too - umm, but I was about 7 at the time! :-) As if kids know whether or not it rains if Africa... so it was totally justified! Don't know when I realised what the real lyric was, but it was a few years ago.
