The story:

It was actually a close friend that misheard these lyrics. Several years ago she was driving to work and heard the song for the first time. Later that evening she told her boyfriend that she heard the strangest Sublime song on the radio that day. He asked her what it was and when she started to sing the lyrics as she heard them - he burst into hysterical laughter. When he finally caught his breath, he explained what the lyrics really were. Every time I hear it I think of her -and Joyce, of course.
