Fortunately it wasn't years. I was in a band and I was listening to the CD, trying to figure out the lyrics so we could cover the song. I was SURE that I was correct, but all my bandmates were hearing the real lyrics. Upon listening again with the correct lyrics in my head I could hear them the right way. Not good though, since I was the lead singer!
