The story:

Well this'll betray my generation, but when I first heard the song I swore it was a reference to the animated movie, "Land Before Time" - you know, Sarah calls LittleFoot a 'long-neck'? In any case the original impression persisted quite durably till a crushing blow was dealt by my girlfriend at the time. Notsomuch embarassing, but I did get a lot of resulting (and not undeserved) grief;).
