Before I knew the lyrics, I thought they were saying "i'm blue, i believe I will die" and I also at one time thought " I'm blue, I would beat off a guy" - I though they were both valid to the song, I still sing " I believe I will die" when listening

I still think it's "if I was green I would die" I don't care what the real lyrics are supposed to be. That makes sense!
