The story:

Years ago I was a guitarist for a Southern Illinois cover band. One night at a gig for a birthday party, I was actually listening to the vocalist,(who had been singing this song for years) and damn near fell over my monitor. When the song was over, I could'nt help but ask my friend what the hell he was singing about. He's like "That's what he says, isn't it?". We all decided, crowd included, that we liked his version better.
