The story:

At 14, I bought the single. Flash (pun intended)forward 26 years: My husband overheard me singing along with it, and after he had recovered his breathing from laughing so hard, he told me the correct lyrics. I actually tried to convince him that I was right. He explained to me the absurdity of The Stones using such a pretentious lyric. I wasn't convinced until I read the lyrics on some sheet music. To this day, I tell him it was pretty sophisticated for 14. That just makes him laugh harder.
