The story:

When the song was first released, it used to get a lot of airplay on the radio. I used to have a cheesy little radio that didn't have the best audio quality, so the best I could tell, this is what the lyric was.

I was at the first job that I ever had, which was washing dishes at a restaurant, and a coworker and I were complaining how much our jobs sucked and I started to sing "It's a living and it's f**ked." My friend laughed so hard. He had the "It's Hard" album so he knew what the real lyric was.
