The story:

i was singing the song very loudly in the computer room where a bunch of my friends and i were, and one of them is a really big alanis morissette fan, so we were listening to a bunch of her songs, when this one came on... finally one that i knew. so i sang loudly to prove that i knew the lyrics, and my friends laughed so hard at me that i cried. i was so mortified. now its a joke, and we sing my version all the time in public!
