Jay Cromley's my name

The story:

I was singing this song along with the radio in the car while my boyfriend was listening to me.... He turned down the radio immediately and said... "Wait a minute... what did you just say????" And I sang it again as confident as ever!!! He had to pull over he was laughing so hard... I was like... "WHAT????" he said... "um the name of the song is LEATHER AND LACE???? that is what she is singing about..."TAKE FROM ME MY LACE" she isn't telling him her name!!!!.. and besides her name is Stevie Nicks"... I said "well she didn't write the song... maybe Jay Cromley did"... then I realized how stupid my argument sounded and gave in... He was right!... AGAIN! BTW... the person I convinced my lyric was correct was my niece... It was probably 1983 we were sitting in the car I was 13 and she was 9... I wonder if she still thinks that is what it says.. ha!
