Being a dedicated CCR/John Fogerty fan from the beginning, I knew the correct words. Somehow, I was always able to figure them out -- amazing since in those days I was buying albums, which never included lyrics. In this case I had to correct an aspiring musician friend of mine.

I do wish the lyric did have the S word in it, so that maybe nowadays it wouldn't be censored so much. But I guess that's not what John Fogerty was thinking...
