I used to sing along quite seriously to this song (thankfully never in front of others), as I really love it; it's so sad. I think it sounds like the kind of thing the Stones would've been singing in 1968 anyway, but one day I decided to just check the lyrics to make sure, and it turned out to be "lowly of birth". I think they should change it, though!
