Hey, bowling is a rough sport! I mean - he could have looked in the mirror and, ya know, seen that bowling scar and felt paranoid that...uh...he might get cut again the next time he went bowling.
I always suspected it couldn't be right, and one day (after @ 10 years) the light bulb went on.
Mercifully, I had only sung "bowling scar" to myself, so I was the only one laughing at me.
