The story:

The moment when i finally realised that for the last ten years i had been singing along to this song in a very wrong way was when i had my first job and it came on the radio, a colleague very kindly pointed out that it was wrong, my nickname from then on was smash!!! I did think though it was rather strange that a hip and trendy group were singing about mash though!!
